Job overview

Are you looking to develop your skills and enjoy a busy varied role within a well-established dietetic team? We have an additional part time post to deliver the clinical dietetic service for the medical wards at Ealing Hospital.

This post is part of a wider dietetic team at Northwick Park and Central Middlesex acute hospitals across Northwest London University Health NHS.

Main duties of the job

To provide a Clinical Dietetic service to patients in Ealing Hospital for both inpatients and outpatients where you will:

  1. Assess and diagnose nutritional problems, manage patients with medical conditions requiring nutritional treatments.
  2. Act as a source of expertise to members of Secondary Health Care Teams, other Health professionals, and patients/carers.
  3. Develop and provide nutrition education and training to professionals, catering staff within Ealing Hospital and student dietitians.

Education and Qualification
  • HCPC.
Knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of Nutrition products, enteral equipment.
  • Able to apply best practice for dietetic management for a range of conditions.
  • Knowledge of diversity issues and ability to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
  • Competence in assessment and prescription of artificial nutrition.
  • Experience of organising home enteral discharges from hospital.
