Job summary

NHS Scotland invites applications for the Clinical Development Fellowship (CDF) in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care. This fixed-term, full-time post offers two 6-month placements within a 12-month programme: 6 months in anaesthesia and 6 months in ICU at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

Applicants should be trainee doctors who have completed Core Anaesthesia Training/ACCS, hold full GMC registration with a licence to practise, and be prepared for a demanding schedule including elective and emergency

Qualifications

• Trainee doctors who have completed Core Anaesthesia Training/ACCS (ACCS) Training.
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise at time of application; two years GMC registration by post commencement date.

Responsibilities

• Two 6-month placements within a 12-month programme: anaesthesia perioperative care and intensive care.
• Protected development time up to 8 hours per week, with clinical duties including elective and emergency theatre work, obstetrics, outpatient clinics and critical care.
