Job summary

NHS Scotland invites applications for the Clinical Development Fellowship (CDF) in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care. The post is fixed term until 3 August 2027 and full-time (40 hours per week) with pay scale £49,217 to £77,389 per annum pro rata.

The programme comprises two 6-month placements across Anaesthesia and ICU at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. Candidates should have recently completed Core Anaesthesia Training or ACCS Training.

Qualifications

• Must be a trainee doctor who has recently completed or is about to finish Core Anaesthesia Training/ACCS.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical duties in anaesthesia and intensive care.
• Assume perioperative care across multiple surgical specialties in anaesthesia.
• Engage in theatre work, obstetrics, outpatient clinics, and critical care both in-hours and out-of-hours.
• Participate in teaching, training, and service development within the department.
