Job summary

Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Coding Team Manager to lead the daily supervision of a coding team and support the continued development of the Clinical Coding service.

The successful candidate will hold the National Clinical Coding Qualification (UK), have post-qualification experience, and participate in refresher workshops; the role offers a flexible mix of on-site and home-based working within the Trust and surrounding region.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders across departments.
• Post-qualification experience in clinical coding is required, with ongoing participation in refresher workshops.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of clinical coders on a daily basis.
• Collaborate with the Team Manager, Clinical Coding Trainer and Auditors to develop the service and ensure data quality.
