Job summary

Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Coding Team Manager to lead and develop the clinical coding service, ensuring accurate data for episodes of care. The role reports to the Head of Clinical Coding and collaborates with trainers and auditors.

The post requires the National Clinical Coding Qualification (UK), post-qualification experience, and commitment to ongoing workshops.

Qualifications

• Must hold the National Clinical Coding Qualification (UK) and have post-qualification experience.
• Ability to attend refresher and specialty workshops.
• Willing to work across sites within the Trust and maintain skills via training.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Accredited Clinical Coders to provide accurate, timely data for episodes of care.
• Supervise daily activities and collaborate with the Clinical Coding Trainer and Auditors.
• Develop and enhance the Clinical Coding service to meet national standards and Payment by Results requirements.
