Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales invites applications for a Biomedical Scientist at Band 6. The role involves rotating through department sections and may require work across sites to ensure service continuity.

You will work as a HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist, following HCPC standards and maintaining CPD evidence. The post includes 24/7 out-of-hours service requirements and automatic progression on completing core competencies and IBMS portfolio.

Qualifications

• IBMS accredited Biomedical Sciences Degree or HCPC eligible.
• State registered with HCPC as a Biomedical Scientist.
• Specialist Portfolio BMS relevant to the service/s being covered – or equivalent.
• Evidence of ongoing personal development (Desirable).

Responsabilités

• Support and advise laboratory support worker colleagues.
• Prioritise investigations in accordance to clinical need, ensuring optimum turnaround for urgent requests.
• Manage emergency requests, single or multiple.
• Liaise with IT and specialist equipment suppliers to resolve system or equipment failures.
• Respond to Major incident procedures should the need arise.
