Job description

Join Syner-Med: Where Innovation Meets Impact

At Syner-Med, we're a growing UK healthcare company on a mission to solve problems that matter — in Women's Health, Vascular Medicine, and Infectious Disease. From established specialist medicines to next-generation diagnostics, we bring genuinely useful innovations to the clinicians and patients who need them.

Right now, that mission is taking us into Point of Care diagnostics for Urinary Tract Infections, putting fast, accurate answers directly into clinicians' hands at the point of care, so patients get the right treatment sooner and antibiotics are used more wisely. It's a step change from the tools the NHS relies on today, and it's opening a new chapter for our company.

We're small enough that your work is visible and fast enough that it ships. Our people are united by a simple idea: better tools, in the right hands, change outcomes.

If you want autonomy over box-ticking, and a direct line from what you do to the difference it makes, this is the place. You'll help shape how new healthcare solutions reach the NHS and beyond — and grow your own career while you're at it.

Ready to make an impact? Explore opportunities with Syner-Med and help shape the future of healthcare.

Internal title: Clinical Applications Specialist (Diagnostics & Urology)

Office Location: Reigate, Surrey

Travel: 60-80% in the UK

Syner-Med is seeking a Clinical Applications Specialist (Diagnostics & Urology) to be the clinical face of our urology portfolio in the field, with our new point-of-care diagnostic at its centre. This role is both scientific and hands-on- getting the technology embedded in NHS and private hospitals, providing clinical support and medical information, engaging clinicians and KOLs, and upholding compliance (MHRA, ABPI/ABHI). You'll start in urology and grow into obstetrics as the product expands. This is a field-based role, home-based between customer visits, with regular UK travel.

What you'll do
  • Be the clinical lead on getting IVDs embedded at each site- owning the training, pathway and SOP integration, and clinical follow-up, alongside our hospital account managers who lead the rollout
  • Solve the clinical problems that decide whether a placement sticks, working directly with hospital clinical and lab teams
  • Handle first-line clinical and product queries across the portfolio, and keep training materials current as the evidence grows
  • Build relationships with clinical KOLs across urology, microbiology and obstetrics, and support advisory boards and congresses
  • Contribute to service evaluations, audits and the real-world evidence behind wider NHS adoption
What you'll bring
  • A clinical or scientific background in infection or diagnostics- HCPC-registered biomedical/clinical scientist, microbiologist, or a urology/women's-health clinician - credible in front of a consultant microbiologist
  • Hands-on experience implementing point-of-care testing in NHS secondary care: POCT committees, QC/EQA, connectivity, IVDR/UKCA
  • Someone who runs their own diary across a UK territory and holds a full UK driving licence
  • Desirable: experience supporting pharmaceutical products, and a track record of service evaluations, audits or publications

Take a genuinely novel diagnostic from launch into the NHS and shape how it's adopted- with the autonomy of an early team and a direct line from your work to patient impact.
