Job description

Do you hold a clinical qualification with experience in Urology? Do you have experience working within the operating theatre or clinical procedure environments?

Are you confident with technology and passionate about digital innovation, clinical pathways and improving patient care?

We are looking for a clinically experienced individual who can combine their clinical knowledge with strong IT skills to support healthcare professionals in the effective use of our products, digital integration and the development of more efficient clinical pathways. Are you looking to join the MedTech industry, and continue bettering the lives of patients?

A role with impact

We are seeking a clinically driven, passionate, and dynamic Clinical Specialist to join our Endoscopy team, supporting our single-use ureteroscopy portfolio. You will serve as the clinical expert in the field, working alongside the sales team to drive adoption, provide hands-on support in theatre, and ensure customers are confident and successful in using Ambu's cutting-edge devices. This role is ideal for a nurse, ODP, or clinical professional with a strong background in urology/endoscopy that’s looking to transition into a commercial, customer-facing role while continuing to make a meaningful impact in patient care.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will report to the Regional Sales Manager - North, Urology & ENT and support delivery of the regional target and be consistent in strategy and planning. You will provide clinical training, support, and education to urologists, theatre teams, and other stakeholders on the use of Ambu’s single-use portfolio within Urology & ENT, as well as partner and team up with the sales team to help drive product evaluations, conversions, and ongoing customer success.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include
  • Deliver in-theatre support during procedures, acting as the expert on scope handling, setup and troubleshooting.
  • Support Territory Managers in the setup and delivery of clinical trials and product evaluations.
  • Support digital integration projects, including DICOM/PACS connectivity, working collaboratively with hospital IT, digital, clinical and imaging teams to facilitate successful implementation and troubleshoot technical challenges.
  • Develop an understanding of hospital IT infrastructure, clinical workflows and digital patient pathways, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, connectivity and the effective use of Ambu products.
  • Act as a clinical and technical resource for customers, supporting product adoption, training and the integration of Ambu solutions into existing clinical pathways.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to identify and develop regional centres of excellence and build accredited training programmes.
  • Convey compelling health-economic arguments to stakeholders beyond clinical areas, including procurement, finance and digital teams, while maintaining strong customer relationships to grow business within existing accounts.
  • Keep the CRM system and other reporting mechanisms up to date, recording customer activity, opportunities and managing your own pipeline, with monthly reporting.
  • Gather market intelligence and share relevant insights throughout the organisation.
  • Identify and develop relationships with regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
  • Prepare and deliver effective clinical, technical and commercial presentations.
Suggested candidate profile

Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you have a background as Registered Nurse, Operating Department Practitioner (ODP), or similar clinical qualification, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a urology or theatre-based role, ideally within endourology or ureteroscopy. You're passionate about improving patient outcomes and theatre efficiency through innovative technology and you're able to convey health economic, financial and clinical benefits to a broad spectrum of personnel.

Furthermore, You
  • Carry strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clinical teams
  • Are comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative commercial environment.
  • Are a self-starter, able to work on their own and use your own initiative
  • Demonstrate commercial credibility - including price/value discussions, and have excellent negotiation and administration skills
  • Are able to engage with all levels of clinical and management staff
  • Can effectively plan and prepare for customer meetings with clear objectives and engage positively with all customers
  • Can research and identify critical/topical issues affecting key customers
  • Preferable to have completed an accredited Theatre Access Course
