The Department of ENT at Freeman Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, organised and motivated individual to join its existing team of patient-focused, friendly and professional Medical Secretaries.
The role involves working closely with Surgeons, Junior Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, and other associated health professionals such as Speech and Language Therapists and Audiologists.

The postholder will be required to provide an efficient secretarial service to the clinicians and their teams within the Head and Neck Tumour Group. This will include audio typing, and other kinds of letter production, as well as fielding patient queries over the telephone, contributing to diary management, waiting list and clinic management. The ability to work independently and follow the policies and procedures for your department is essential. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, flexibility, reliability, and must have an organised approach to work.
The role has lots of variety and ad-hoc demands, and the postholder must possess excellent time management and planning skills. The position provides the opportunity to work within a very supportive and welcoming team and to further develop existing knowledge and skills.
