Job summary

Mitie Landscapes is seeking a skilled Climbing Arborist in Birmingham to join our professional team. The role involves carrying out climbing arboriculture tasks across urban and woodland settings, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

You will work a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, with overtime possible and occasional overnight stays. A full driving license is essential, and some qualification progression is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in Arboriculture.
• Full driving license required; trailer licence desirable.
• Arborist qualification desirable or willingness to progress with a recognised qualification.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles and maintain arboricultural equipment safely.
• Ensure time reliability and professional performance.
• Adhere to RAMS & POWRA and health and safety standards.
• Promote culture of safety within the team.
• Report work activity using smartphone-based systems.

Role OverviewAs a Climbing arborist, you will be an essential part of our daily Arboricultural operations, contributing to the successful completion of various tree works across urban and woodland settings. You will be a dynamic team player with excellent operational awareness. As a motivated individual, your initiative and coherence with all H&S WFH protocols will be essential in maintaining our comprehensive safety standards

Responsibilities

• -Operating company vehicles, using & maintaining Arboricultural equipment efficiently and safely.
• -Ensuring time reliability and Professional performance.
• -Adhere strictly to Health and Safety RAMS & POWRA.
• -Promoting a culture of safety within the team.
• -Utilise smartphone-based operating systems to report work activity accurately

Requirements

• -Minimum 2 years' experience in Arboriculture, a full driving license is essential; trailer license desirable.
• -An Arb qualification or willingness to progress with a recognised qualification would be desirable.
• -Strong commitment to hard work, reliability, and safety.
• -Willingness to undergo further training and career development within the industry
• -Competitive pay dependent on qualifications and experience.
• -Fully expensed company vehicle.
