Job summary

Transport for London is seeking an Assistant SHE Environment Manager to lead climate risk and adaptation initiatives within the Climate Adaptation team. The role focuses on tracking actions, analysing data, and ensuring alignment with TfL’s strategy on climate resilience.

You will collaborate with multiple teams to embed best practices, manage data quality, and support reporting requirements. Hybrid working arrangements apply, with offices and home-based work balanced to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Related degree or equivalent qualification (Essential).
• Strong knowledge of designing and evaluating initiatives to improve corporate environmental performance.
• Understanding of climate risk assessments and related data.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills for strategic reporting.
• Experience identifying environmental issues in projects and advising SHE Managers.

Responsibilities

• Track and monitor progress of TfL’s Climate Adaptation Plan actions and targets.
• Provide subject-matter expertise and upskill the business on climate risk.
• Support data analysis, GIS mapping and data-driven decision-making for adaptation.
• Assist with TfL climate risk assessments and external reporting such as ARP/ISSB-aligned disclosures.
