Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Climate Change and Sustainability Strategy Manager to lead climate resilience, sustainability and natural capital initiatives. Based in Reading with hybrid working, you will shape strategy, influence decisions, and drive innovation across the organisation.

You will build partnerships, monitor policy developments, and embed sustainability principles into core practices, reporting, and planning to deliver long-term value and resilience.

Qualifications

• Strong strategic and analytical capabilities with the ability to turn complex information into clear insights.
• Proven experience developing climate change, sustainability or environmental strategies in large organisations.
• Knowledge of UK environmental policy, regulation and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead Thames Water's climate change strategy definition, execution, risk management and embedding.
• Drive development and implementation of natural capital thinking in decision-making.
• Build internal and external partnerships to deliver commitments and governance.
• Scan policy landscape to inform long-term strategic planning and priorities.
• Update and maintain sustainability policies and frameworks aligned with regulatory expectations.
• Support disclosures and reporting for sustainability and climate-related information.
• Influence investment and business planning to reflect climate and sustainability considerations.
