Job summary

Transport for London (TfL) in London is seeking a Climate Resilience, Biodiversity, & Green Infrastructure Lead for a 12-month cover. You will guide climate adaptation, biodiversity and green infrastructure strategy and work with operational, engineering and delivery teams to embed resilience across TfL’s transport network.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, influence senior stakeholders and shape how TfL translates environmental ambitions into practical action, with a hybrid working

Qualifications

• Ability to translate complex environmental policy into practical actions.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders in large organisations where delivery is achieved through collaboration.
• Strong communication skills, engaging with technical specialists, operational leaders and executives.
• Ability to balance long-term environmental ambition with safety, operational and commercial considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead TfL's climate resilience, adaptation, biodiversity and green infrastructure programmes.
• Translate climate policy into practical requirements, standards and investment priorities for teams.
• Embed climate resilience and nature-based solutions within asset management and delivery.
• Influence senior leaders to incorporate climate risks and biodiversity into planning and investments.
• Represent TfL externally with regulators, government, boroughs and partners.
• Oversee performance monitoring, adaptation planning and resilience reporting.
