Job summary

Transport for London seeks an experienced SHE Environment Manager with specialist knowledge in UK SRS and TNFD reporting and climate adaptation. You will coordinate environmental reporting across TfL and embed climate risk management in decision making.

You will influence senior stakeholders, support delivery of sustainability objectives, and ensure regulatory compliance while balancing environmental, operational and organisational priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in physical climate risk assessment.
• Experience developing climate adaptation or resilience programmes.
• Experience integrating climate-related risks into risk frameworks.
• Sustainability reporting expertise (TCFD/ISSB/UK SRS; TNFD preferred).
• Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written communication and briefing paper preparation.
• Analytical problem-solving with commercial awareness.
• Ability to balance environmental, operational and strategic priorities.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Experience in transport, infrastructure, public sector or regulated environments.
• Professional membership in an environmental/sustainability body.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME on sustainability reporting; monitor regulations and advise on actions.
• Collaborate with finance, risk, operations and technical teams to collate data.
• Develop integrated sustainability reporting aligned with standards and TfL objectives.
• Lead climate adaptation workstreams; embed physical risks in ERM.
• Influence stakeholders to improve environmental performance and drive change.
• Embed climate risk and adaptation in contracts and supplier management.
