Job summary

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar in Stornoway is recruiting a Policy Officer on a 37-hour week, fixed-term for 12 months, with a salary of £39,844–£43,992 per annum (including £2,997 Distant Islands Allowance). The role focuses on policy development, implementation, monitoring and reporting aligned to the Council's priorities, particularly climate change and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of policy development and issues affecting the Outer Hebrides.
• Strong communication, organisational and analytical skills.
• Experience in researching and producing reports.

• Assist with development and review of corporate policies and strategies.
• Undertake research and data analysis, monitor policy developments, prepare reports and briefings.
