Description

ANZCO Foods has an opportunity for a Climate Change and Sustainability Manager to join the team. Based in Christchurch at our Corporate Office, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the climate change and sustainability plan and projects. The position will suit someone with a passion for sustainability and who enjoys engaging with various stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Drive strategic action: Implement our climate change and sustainability strategy, ensuring it aligns with business goals and delivers measurable outcomes.
  • Champion innovation: Work with teams across ANZCO to develop continuous improvement and sustainability-focused innovations.
  • Lead emissions reporting: Manage the delivery of accurate and timely emissions data for our annual Climate Change & Sustainability and inventory reports.
  • Manage projects: Oversee a range of sustainability initiatives that balance environmental responsibility with business performance.
  • Engage and influence: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive our decarbonisation plan and embed sustainable practices across the company.
  • Ensure compliance: Maintain alignment with the GHG Protocol and other relevant standards, regulations and legislation.
  • Build culture and capability: Help cultivate a culture that supports technical growth and sustainability leadership.

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

  • 2-5 years' experience in sustainability
  • Tertiary qualification in sustainability, agriculture or environmental science,
  • Understanding of GHG Protocol (including Scopes 1, 2, and 3 categories)
  • Experience in developing and implementing decarbonsiation strategies that align with Science-based targets
  • Proficient in emissions, life-cycle analysis and carbon accounting
  • Knowledge of climate disclosure frameworks (CRD, ISSB, TCFD, GRI, CDP)
