Job summary

Coventry City Council is seeking a motivated Sustainability Officer to drive the city's Climate Action Plan and improve energy efficiency across Coventry. You will lead sustainability projects, coordinate partners, and help residents and local organisations participate in climate initiatives.

You will oversee the Warm Homes Local Grant programme in partnership with our Strategic Energy Partner, E.ON, manage budgets and risks, and report progress to senior colleagues while promoting a greener,

Qualifications

• A degree, equivalent qualification or substantial relevant experience.
• Experience coordinating or delivering projects and meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of external funding opportunities and grant-funded programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate sustainability projects to deliver on time and within resources.
• Lead the delivery of the Warm Homes Local Grant programme to improve home energy efficiency.
• Identify external funding opportunities and support grant funding bids.
• Engage residents, communities, businesses and partners in climate action.
• Monitor project performance, risks, budgets and report progress.
