Job summary

BNY is seeking a Specialist, Tax Reporting & Compliance II in Manchester to serve as the client tax inquiries lead for custody services. You’ll become the custodian tax expert across markets, reviewing portfolios, guiding clients, and analyzing reclaim activity to ensure timely resolutions.

With a background in finance and tax, you’ll collaborate with peers, mentor colleagues, and drive standardization through updated playbooks and training materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Tax or equivalent, or similar.
• 2–4 years’ experience in financial‑services operations or tax reporting, client‑facing preferred.
• Understanding of global withholding‑tax frameworks and custody processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact point for client tax inquiries—responding accurately and promptly.
• Become the custody-tax service expert—liaising on withholding-tax rules across key markets.
• Review client portfolios, identify opportunities, flag risks, and guide clients on tax matters.
• Assist clients in completing and submitting tax forms and tracking progress.
• Analyze reclaim activity, prepare reports, and update clients on timelines.
• Lead client calls to discuss documentation status and market changes.
• Monitor metrics and collaborate on improvement plans, training materials, and playbooks.
• Contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
