The Client Strategy Manager plays a crucial role in the modern media landscape, by providing solution-based tactics for client’s needs & deepening client connections with local client strategy reps. In this capacity, the individual is responsible for assisting local client strategy representatives by leveraging their digital knowledge of platforms and strategies to enhance customer relations and generate new partnerships.

This position is a digital strategy & client relations role. Join our team as a Client Strategy Manager and work in this fast paced, client-oriented environment!

The successful candidate will work locally at our Surrey Corporate Office but have the ability to travel throughout Western Canada to reach clients and sales staff in local Black Press Media markets.

Valid Driver’s License & access to a vehicle is necessary.

Key responsibilities of the Client Strategy Manager include, but are not limited to, the following areas:

  • Developing new client opportunities, assisting with internal product education, and planned dual calls will be key to the success of this position.
  • Identify, develop, and implement client acquisition opportunities for multimedia campaigns in support of business goals and monitor effectiveness throughout the sales process.
  • Manage and develop an account list for regional, and provincial advertisers and national digital agencies.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Client Strategy and VP Digital Operations with the development towards revenue streams.
  • Determine client’s needs and develop advertising proposals based on a solution.
  • Work with management and client strategy reps to increase revenue across all divisions.
  • Collaborate with Director of Client Strategy and VP Digital Operations on sales trainings for staff across the entire Canadian Operations.
  • Responsible for establishing greater client connections, growing sales productivity and knowledge and validating market readiness for Canadian Operations in collaboration with the Director of Client Strategy and VP Digital Operations.
  • Lead the customer acquisition process to build above industry standards for digital advertising through continual education and self-development.
  • Keep up to date on new products and trends within the digital marketing industry.
  • Work cross-functionally between various departments to help measure, analyze, and enhance the performance of revenue generation and audience development activities.
  • Use knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop unique selling propositions.
  • Travel is expected throughout the Canadian Division to meet objectives of revenue generation.
