Cobalt Recruitment is seeking an Engineering Surveyor to join a major London developer’s in-house surveying team in London. The role centres on 3D laser scanning within major construction projects, with responsibilities spanning field surveys, data processing, and technical support to project teams.

You will work closely with senior colleagues, contribute to best practices, and have opportunities to advance the team’s laser scanning capabilities on high-profile estates.

Qualifications

• Strong practical experience of 3D laser scanning.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out and maintaining survey control across construction projects.
• Undertaking engineering surveys, as-built surveys and topographical surveys.
• Providing accurate survey information to project teams, designers, architects and contractors.
• Carrying out 3D laser scanning in the field and processing point-cloud data.
• Supporting and developing the team’s laser scanning capability.
• Monitoring structures for settlement, movement, deflection and deformation.
• Producing survey drawings and CAD outputs.
• Checking survey computations and ensuring the accuracy of survey deliverables.
• Managing incoming survey requests and coordinating surveying activities.
• Supporting calibration and maintenance of surveying equipment.
• Working closely with project teams, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Providing technical guidance and support to junior members of the surveying team.
