Job summary

Construction & Property Recruitment is recruiting a Development Surveyor for a Glasgow-based developer. You will shift from cost management to act as a strategic delivery partner for multi-storey residential projects, handling appraisals, front-end feasibility, procurement, delivery and final accounts.

The role suits someone from a PQS/consultancy background who understands cost planning, risk management and urban residential builds, taking full ownership of the development lifecycle on site

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a PQS consultancy.
• Exposure to flatted, multi-storey or residential developments.
• Strong cost planning, benchmarking, measuring and negotiation skills.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Real Estate, or related discipline; MRICS advantageous.
• Based in or willing to travel to Greater Glasgow area.

Responsibilities

• Development appraisal and feasibility to inform front-end strategies and margins.
• Commercial management of costs from inception to completion.
• Procurement strategy including tendering and contractor appointments.
• Produce CVRs, cash flow forecasts and project performance reports.
• Contract administration and management on behalf of the developer.
