Job summary

Amwins Global Risks in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Technician to join our Operations Team. You will provide technical processing support, handle standard and non-standard tasks, and ensure compliance with FCA guidelines.

You will review data, generate documentation and help maintain data quality while supporting colleagues across the broking divisions. With a good grasp of insurance principles and London Market processes, you will analyse information, make routine decisions, and use

Qualifications

• Sound understanding of insurance principles and the policy lifecycle.
• Understanding of London Market processes and distribution channels.
• Ability to analyse information and solve problems using policies and procedures.
• Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete standard and increasingly non-standard processing with moderate guidance.
• Own and prioritise workload to meet service levels, timeframes and accuracy standards.
• Use judgement to identify issues, analyse information and resolve routine problems within own authority.
• Create, process and check accurate documentation, data and management information using relevant systems.
• Perform quality control checks on other technicians’ work in accordance with agreed processes.
• Train and support less experienced colleagues as required.
• Identify potential errors and omissions risks and escalate promptly.
• Contribute to ad hoc tasks, projects and improvements to team processes or data quality.
• Manage competing priorities and adjust plans when requirements change.
• Build trusted relationships within the team and effective relationships with wider internal stakeholders.
