Job summary

Man Group is seeking an Associate to support the Global Client Relations team, collaborating with the Italian Sales Team. The role can be based in London or Pfäffikon and offers exposure to diverse asset classes within a leading, global asset manager. The position may become permanent after the 12-month contract.

You will act as a primary contact for client inquiries, support onboarding, manage reporting, and coordinate client reviews with internal stakeholders for efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years in client relations or investment operations.
• Familiarity with AIFMD and MiFID II regulatory requirements.
• Study towards CFA or CAIA is a plus.
• Interest in leveraging AI tools to enhance client servicing and reporting.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a dedicated day-to-day client inquiries contact.
• Maintain CRM with client records, activity and pipeline and coordinate reporting to senior management.
• Support the Italian team on projects impacting existing client base and collaborate with internal stakeholders on efficiency improvements.
• Manage client onboarding and guide complex investor transactions.
• Coordinate client portfolio reviews, due diligence meetings, roadshows and annual conferences.
• Deliver customized, standard and ad-hoc reporting to Italian clients.
• Oversee subscription and redemption processes and ensure timely flows.
• Organize and maintain commercial agreements (Intermediary, Rebate, Platform, Custody).
• Coordinate client restriction list implementation and attestation processes with Compliance.

Job Profile Summary:

A 12-month contract providing Associate-level support as part of the Global Client Relations team, working in close collaboration with the Italian Sales Team. The role can be based in either the London or Pfäffikon office. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise across alternative asset classes within a globally recognised asset manager, with the potential for a permanent position upon successful completion of the contract.

Specific Responsibilities

• Serve as a dedicated point of contact for all day-to-day client inquiries
• Maintain CRM system with client records, activity and pipeline and coordinate all ad hoc requests and ongoing reporting to senior management, including annual business plans and monthly/quarterly review packs
• Support the Italian team as required on all projects impacting existing client base and work with various internal stakeholders on strategic initiatives to improve the overall efficiency of the team
• Manage client onboarding process by providing support and direction for complex investor transactions
• Coordinate prospect/client portfolio reviews, operational due diligence meetings, RFP and DDQ completion, roadshows, outreach campaigns, annual conferences and client update calls
• Deliver customized, standardized and ad-hoc reporting to our Italian client base
• Direct ongoing client subscription and redemption process ensuring flows are communicated in a timely and accurate manner
• Organize and implement new commercial agreements and the ongoing maintenance of these agreements (Intermediary, Rebate, Platform, Custody agreements, etc.)
• Coordinate client restriction list implementation, trade error notification and side letter attestation process in conjunction with Man Compliance team

Technical Competencies

• Fluency in Italian
• Interest across the spectrum of active alternative asset classes, including both systematic and discretionary public equity and fixed income (long-only and hedge funds), managed futures and private credit
• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in client relations, client services, investor relations, or investment operations at a financial services firm (e.g. wealth manager, asset manager, or hedge fund)
• Awareness of AIFMD, MiFID II, and local Italian regulatory requirements
• Studying for, or interest in studying towards CFA or CAIA qualifications
• Familiarity with AI tools and a curiosity to leverage emerging technologies to enhance client servicing, reporting and operational efficiency
• Excellent organization and time management skills to succeed in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment
• Ability to develop strong-working relationships with clients, prospects and with individuals at all levels of the Man organization
• Microsoft skills (PowerPoint, Word and Excel). Familiarity with Salesforce a plus
