Lamont Pridmore in Carlisle or Workington is seeking an experienced practice accountant to take ownership of an established portfolio of owner-managed and family-run businesses. You’ll combine your technical accounting expertise with commercial insight to help firms make confident financial decisions.

This role covers statutory accounts, management reporting and advisory work in a collaborative, office-based setting.

Qualifikationen

• Previous client-facing experience in an accountancy practice.
• Experience managing a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge gained in practice.
• Commercial mindset with SME understanding.
• Experience using accounts preparation software.
• Good working knowledge of cloud accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks).
• Excellent communication and client-centric attitude.
• Strong organisational skills to prioritise deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence.

Aufgaben

• Manage a portfolio of owner-managed and family businesses, acting as main contact.
• Plan, prepare and review financial accounts within deadlines.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and half-yearly management reports.
• Present financial information clearly to support business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve tax efficiency and performance.
• Develop strong client relationships through proactive communication.
• Work with Directors to improve internal processes and standards.
• Support growth through referrals and networking within portfolio.
