Job summary

EQ Accountants, part of the Sumer Group, Forfar, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage a portfolio of clients and ensure accurate bookkeeping. The role involves processing payables/receivables, bank reconciliations, and VAT returns, with setup support for clients using Xero or SAGE.

You will collaborate with a friendly team, participate in on-the-job training, and contribute to efficient client service in a growing practice that values mentorship and progression.

Qualifications

• Proven experience handling bookkeeping services for a portfolio of clients
• Knowledge of Xero and SAGE desirable
• Good numerical skills and excellent communication with clients

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable for a portfolio of clients
• Complete bank reconciliations with accuracy and efficiency
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Setting up client software for clients wishing to undertake their own bookkeeping
• Providing helpful training to clients on using Xero & SAGE
