Job summary

The Portfolio Group in Beaconsfield is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join a growing Top 100 Accountancy practice. You will own a portfolio of client payrolls and ensure accurate, on-time processing.

Ideally you have 2+ years’ payroll experience in a bureau or practice, strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation (PAYE, NIC, SSP, SMP), Auto Enrolment experience, and the ability to manage multiple client payrolls with excellent attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ payroll experience in a payroll bureau or accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation including PAYE, NIC, SSP and SMP.
• Auto Enrolment experience.
• Experience managing multiple client payrolls.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Processing weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Managing starters, leavers, salary changes and payroll adjustments.
• Producing payslips, P45s and payroll reports.
• Maintaining accurate payroll records.
• Reconciling HMRC accounts and liaising with HMRC where required.
• Responding to client payroll queries.
• Managing Auto Enrolment administration, including pension submissions and compliance.
• Uploading pension files to providers and completing reconciliations.
• Supporting continuous improvement within payroll processes.
• General payroll administration and maintaining client records.
