As a Client Onboarding Manager, your role will involve onboarding UK & US corporate lending clients, adhering to regulatory requirements, and ensuring a smooth, exceptional client experience.

Responsibilities:
  1. Undertake AML CDD reviews and risk assessments on new UK & US corporate lending clients.
  2. Manage the AML CDD portion of commercial business loan origination.
  3. Communicate and collaborate effectively with Oak North customers and internal stakeholders to ensure customer delight.
  4. Manage customer expectations through effective communication, working efficiently while maintaining momentum.
  5. Operate in line with the Bank's Risk Management framework and relevant policies, escalating concerns appropriately and timely.
  6. Mentor and supervise junior members of the Client Onboarding Team.
  7. Identify areas for process improvement to enhance efficiency.
  8. Support the Lending lead in transformational change initiatives aligned with our strategic plan.
  9. Leverage Generative AI tools to increase productivity and improve decision-making processes.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 5 years' experience in the financial services sector, specifically in commercial lending for UK & US clients.
  2. Knowledge of complex corporate structures, including trusts and funds in non-transparent jurisdictions (e.g., BVI, Channel Islands, Cayman Islands).
  3. Excellent understanding of AML/KYC, CDD/EDD processes.
  4. Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with meticulous attention to detail.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  6. Enjoys teamwork and collaboration.
  7. Ability to conduct searches, analyze findings, and summarize results clearly.
  8. Ability to understand and apply processes effectively.
  9. Consistently high performance in independent task execution.
  10. Extensive knowledge of financial crime prevention systems and techniques.
  11. Proven ability to take responsibility, step up, and deliver results.
  12. Excellent prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
  13. Resilience and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  14. Customer-focused attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
