Job summary

Accountable-Recruitment is helping a growing Chorley-based accountancy practice appoint an experienced Client Manager to manage a diverse portfolio of clients.

You will own client relationships, coordinate year‑end work, prepare and review accounts and tax returns, supervise junior staff and work with the wider team to maintain high service standards. The role offers autonomy, development opportunities and a competitive salary depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in accountancy practice with client-facing focus.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients including sole traders and companies.
• Strong year-end accounts preparation and review experience.
• Comfortable presenting accounts to clients and business owners.
• Experience supervising junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own portfolio of clients including sole traders and limited companies.
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Plan monthly workloads aligned to year ends and deadlines.
• Prepare and review year-end accounts and present to clients.
• Complete Personal Tax Returns alongside client accounts.
• Respond to client queries and meet deadlines.
• Supervise and support junior team members.
• Identify opportunities to provide additional client value.
• Collaborate with the wider team to maintain high service standards.
