Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks an experienced Client Manager in Stockport to lead a diverse client portfolio, providing high-quality accounting, tax and advisory services. You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with Senior Managers and Directors to support growth and client needs.

Role emphasizes technical excellence, effective client communication and development of long-term relationships in a dynamic accountancy practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience within an accountancy practice.
• Experience managing your own client portfolio.
• Strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel; strong Xero experience.
• Experience with Iris, Alpha, QuickBooks and Sage 50 is advantageous.
• Technologically confident and quick to adopt new systems.
• Excellent communication and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review statutory accounts for companies and sole traders.
• Review corporation tax computations and returns.
• Prepare technical and client-facing advice under guidance.
• Oversee personal tax compliance and annual returns.
• Ensure financial statements are accurate and compliant.
• Manage and maintain a portfolio of clients as main contact.
• Coordinate deadlines and information with clients.
• Support senior managers and directors across accounts, tax, VAT, payroll and company secretarial work.
• Explain tax and financial matters clearly to clients.
