Job summary

Reed is seeking a Client Portfolio Manager to own a portfolio of clients, acting as their trusted advisor and primary contact. You will guide business owners on financial performance and strategic decisions while leading a team to deliver excellent service remotely.

Ideal candidates are ACA or ACCA qualified with practice experience and strong communication skills to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Fully remote role with clear progression opportunities.

The Role

As a Client Portfolio Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of clients, acting as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor. You will work closely with business owners, helping them understand their financial performance and supporting them in making informed strategic decisions.

Alongside managing client relationships, you will lead and support a team, ensuring high standards of service delivery and maintaining efficient workflows across the portfolio.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified and have gained strong experience within an accountancy practice environment. You will be confident managing client relationships and able to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

Requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified (preferred)
• Previous experience managing a portfolio of clients within practice
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts, tax and VAT
• Excellent relationship management and communication skills
• Ability to interpret financial information and provide commercial insights
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience using cloud accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• A proactive, solutions-driven approach with a genuine interest in helping clients succeed
• Previous leadership or team management experience would be advantageous
