Job summary

TPF Recruitment is supporting a well-established accountancy practice in Uckfield to recruit a Client Manager for the Bookkeeping and Outsourced Finance team. The role balances client management with technical bookkeeping, oversight of VAT and CIS, and team leadership across multiple locations.

You will work with the Outsourcing Partner to manage client portfolios, mentor staff, and drive process improvements while exploring new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice required.
• Strong bookkeeping and VAT knowledge.
• Experience leading or mentoring a team.
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
• Proficient IT skills with cloud accounting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and relationships.
• Lead and develop the bookkeeping team across locations.
• Review bookkeeping, management accounts, CIS and VAT returns.
• Manage workflow, deadlines and quality standards.
• Support new business opportunities and client onboarding.
• Review timesheets, billing and recoveries.
• Implement improved processes and high-quality service.
• Promote new technology and accounting solutions.
• Coach team members on systems and processes.
