Job summary

Puro Associates seeks a qualified Client Manager to join their Newcastle area accountancy practice. You will manage a diverse client portfolio, provide commercial advice, and own client relationships with a focus on delivering excellent service.

The successful candidate will have ACA/ACCA or equivalent, strong portfolio management skills, and the ability to review work of junior team members while meeting deadlines and driving value for clients.

Client Manager – Accountancy Practice

Location: Jarrow | Salary: Up to £60,000 | Office-based

Puro Associates are delighted to be working with a well-established accountancy practice in Newcastle who are looking to appoint an experienced Client Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys building strong, long-term client relationships and taking ownership of a diverse portfolio. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing client accounts, providing commercial advice and ensuring a consistently high level of service.

The Role

• Managing and developing a portfolio of clients
• Building strong, long-term client relationships
• Acting as a key point of contact and providing proactive support and advice
• Reviewing accounts and other client work
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
• Identifying opportunities to add value and develop client relationships
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
• Working closely with colleagues across the practice to deliver an excellent client experience

About You

We’re looking for someone who is qualified (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) and has previous experience working within an accountancy practice.

You’ll ideally have:

• Strong experience managing a portfolio of clients
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills
• Previous experience reviewing accounts/work produced by junior team members
• A strong technical accounting background
• The confidence to deal directly with clients and provide trusted advice
• A commercially minded and proactive approach
• The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys working with clients, building relationships and taking ownership of your portfolio.
