Job summary

AJ Chambers ® is seeking an experienced Accounts & Tax Senior to join their thriving practice in Stanmore, North West London. You will manage a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and private clients, with responsibilities that include preparing statutory accounts and tax returns.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in tax compliance within a UK accountancy practice, be ACA or ACCA qualified, and possess excellent communication skills. The firm offers a competitive salary and a supportive team environment.

Our client is a successful and growing boutique accountancy practice that continues to expand year on year through an increasing portfolio of new clients. They are now looking to recruit an ambitious Accounts & Tax Senior to join their close-knit team.

You'll manage a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and private clients, taking responsibility for:

• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts.
• Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns.
• Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser.
• Supporting Partners with advisory projects and tax planning work.
• Assisting with audit assignments where required (previous audit experience is advantageous but not essential).

You will be / have -

• Fully UK work rights (no sponsorship can be offered)
• Strong accounts preparation and tax compliance experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.
• ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
• Previous experience managing a client portfolio.
• Some audit experience would be beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills with a proactive and client-focused approach.
