Job summary

Puro Associates in Stockton-on-Tees is seeking a Senior Accountant / Client Manager to own a portfolio of owner-managed clients and deliver high-quality accounting services.

You will prepare and review statutory accounts, VAT returns, and management accounts while building strong client relationships and providing proactive business advice within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience).
• Strong experience preparing and reviewing accounts within practice.
• Previous experience managing a portfolio of clients.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive and commercially minded approach.
• The ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
• Experience supporting junior team members.

Responsibilities

Puro Associates are delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded independent accountancy practice in Stockton-on-Tees who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Accountant / Client Manager to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant who enjoys building strong client relationships, managing a varied portfolio and playing a key role within a supportive and collaborative team. The successful candidate will work with a diverse range of owner-managed businesses, providing both technical expertise and proactive advice.
The Role
As a Senior Accountant / Client Manager, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality service while supporting the wider team.
