The Skills Coalition is assisting a top independent accountancy firm in Newcastle seeking an Accounting Director or Partner. This hybrid role combines leadership, client advisory, and strategic growth within a growing Newcastle office.

Ideal candidates are Senior Managers in practice, ACA/ACCA/ICAS qualified, with UK tax and accounts experience, ready to lead a team and drive business development in a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or ICAS with UK practice experience.
• Senior Manager level in practice or equivalent.
• Experience preparing statutory and non-statutory accounts.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of loyal business clients.

Accounting Director or Partner - Top Accountancy Practice

Are you a Senior Manager in practice ready to take the next step in your career?

We’re working with a leading independent accountancy firm that’s growing fast and looking for a new Accounting Director or Partner to join their Newcastle office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and ambitious firm with a strong focus on people, culture and client experience. With a strong team of over 500 staff, Newcastle is a key hub for this firm

The Role

• Manage and grow a portfolio of loyal business clients
• Lead client meetings and act as their trusted advisor
• Oversee and sign off accounts and tax returns
• Mentor and support your team to reach their potential
• Contribute to business development and strategic growth
• Play a key role in recruitment and team development

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualified
• Currently working at Senior Manager level in practice
• Experienced in preparing statutory and non-statutory accounts
• Confident in UK taxes including personal, corporation, VAT and capital
• A strong communicator and natural relationship builder
• Ready to step into a leadership role
• Full UK driving licence required
