The role combines hands-on accounting with client advisory and team leadership, offering hybrid working and structured development within a supportive practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in accountancy practice across accounts prep and tax.
• Confident explaining financial information and handling client conversations.
• Comfortable reviewing work, coordinating deadlines and supporting colleagues.
• Familiar with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or Iris.
• Commercially aware, with a practical approach to solving problems.

Responsibilities

• Manage a client portfolio, overseeing accounts, tax and reporting deadlines.
• Lead client meetings to discuss financial performance and tax positions.
• Prepare complex accounts and tax computations, and review colleagues' work.
• Identify tax planning opportunities, involving specialists where appropriate.
• Plan workloads, delegate tasks and coach colleagues and trainees.
• Build client relationships and identify opportunities to provide further support.
