Job summary

Hello Recruitment Associates Ltd is recruiting a Client Manager/Senior Bookkeeper for a growing accountancy practice in Tring. You will manage client portfolios, ensuring timely bookkeeping and high-quality financial reporting.

The role requires an AAT qualification (level 3+) with at least 3 years of bookkeeping experience in practice, VAT/MTD knowledge, and strong Excel and cloud accounting skills. Salary up to £36,000 plus staff events and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification to level 3 or above with a minimum of 3 years bookkeeping experience within a practice.
• Strong knowledge of VAT and MTD compliance.
• Good experience with Excel and cloud accounting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of client accounts and deliver bookkeeping services to a high standard.
• Process and reconcile purchase and sales ledgers, post journals.
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure MT-D compliance.
• Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Oversee junior colleagues and assist with onboarding new clients.

Client Manager/Senior Bookkeeper - Accountancy Practice - Tring, Herts £32000 to £36000 depending on experience.

Hello Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a Client Manager/Senior Bookkeeper for a warm and friendly growing Accountancy Practice based in Tring.

As Client Manager you will manage a portfolio of clients delivering bookkeeping services to a high standard and within deadlines.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

Processing and reconciling purchase and sales ledgers

Preparing and posting journals

Preparing and submitting VAT returns making sure they are MTD compliant

Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts

Bank reconciliations

Oversee the work of junior colleagues

Process a small number of payroll for clients as and when required

Help onboard new clients

As you can see this is an interesting role with a wide variety of duties and the successful candidate will be AAT qualified to level 3 or above with a minimum of 3 years bookkeeping experience within a practice. Strong working knowledge of VAT and MTD together with familiarity with cloud accounting across multiple platforms.

Good experience of Excel, strong organisational skills and high attention to detail will make you very attractive to this client who is offering a salary of up to £36000 for this interesting opportunity plus regular staff events and the potential for bonus.
