Job summary

Hello Recruitment Associates in Tring, Hertfordshire is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper for a growing accountancy practice. You'll manage a portfolio delivering high-standard bookkeeping on time.

Key duties include processing ledgers, posting journals, VAT returns (MTD compliant), and producing management accounts. You will also supervise juniors and onboard new clients, with a salary up to £34,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• AAT 3+ with at least 3 years practice bookkeeping experience.
• Strong VAT and MTD knowledge.
• Excellent Excel and keyboard skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work with clients.

Senior Bookkeeper - Accountancy Practice - Tring, Herts £30000 to £34000 depending on experience.

Hello Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a Senior Bookkeeper for a warm and friendly growing Accountancy Practice based in Tring.

As Senior Bookkeeper you will manage a portfolio of clients delivering bookkeeping services to a high standard and within deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Processing and reconciling purchase and sales ledgers
• Preparing and posting journals
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns making sure they are MTD compliant
• Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Bank reconciliations
• Oversee the work of junior colleagues
• Process a small number of payroll for clients as and when required
• Help onboard new clients

As you can see this is an interesting role with a wide variety of duties and the successful candidate will be AAT qualified to level 3 or above with a minimum of 3 years bookkeeping experience within a practice. Strong working knowledge of VAT and MTD together with familiarity with cloud accounting across multiple platforms.

Good experience of Excel, strong organisational skills and high attention to detail will make you very attractive to this client who is offering a salary of up to £34000 for this interesting opportunity.
