Job summary

OBR Group in Sheffield is seeking an experienced practice accountant to lead a portfolio of clients. You will be the primary contact for clients, review accounts and tax work produced by the team, and oversee year-end and tax compliance, including VAT, corporation tax, and CIS. You will also support and mentor colleagues to help the team grow.

The role offers hybrid working, professional study support, and a supportive, long‑standing team culture with modern systems including Xero and Dext.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in an accountancy practice.
• Experience reviewing accounts and tax work.
• Strong client relationship skills.
• Good organisation and control of deadlines.

The practice

A growing independent practice in Sheffield on a massive growth journey. Clients range from owner-managed businesses to companies turning over £300m+, across construction, healthcare, education and more. The office is easy to reach from across South Yorkshire, and parking is free.

The role
