Job summary

Trial Balance is seeking an experienced Client Manager in Plymouth to manage a varied client portfolio and provide practical accounting and taxation guidance. You will act as the primary client contact, reviewing statutory accounts, corporation tax, personal tax and VAT work, while building long-term relationships and adding value.

You will support and mentor junior colleagues and work closely with Partners to maintain an exceptional level of client service.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice with client relationships.
• Ability to review accounts and tax work with accuracy.
• Strong communication and proactive, collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

As Client Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a varied portfolio of limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• Acting as the primary point of contact for your clients, providing practical accounting and taxation advice

• Building strong, long-term relationships with clients and identifying opportunities to add value
• Supporting, mentoring and developing junior members of the team
• Working closely with the Partners to ensure an exceptional level of client service

The successful Client Manager candidate will:

Have previous experience working within an accountancy practice and be confident managing client relationships alongside reviewing accounts and tax work.

ACA or ACCA qualifications would be advantageous, although candidates who are qualified by experience will also be considered. You'll be an excellent communicator with a proactive approach and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a successful team.
