Trial Balance Consulting Ltd. in Camborne is seeking an experienced Client Manager to take ownership of a varied client portfolio within a progressive practice.

You will lead junior colleagues, review statutory accounts, personal and corporate tax, and VAT, while nurturing client relationships and contributing to business development.

ACCA/ACA preferred; you will drive efficient delivery and embrace technology to improve ways of working.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a client portfolio in an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge across accounts, corporation tax, personal tax and VAT.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage a varied portfolio of clients and ensure deadlines are met.
• Review and sign off statutory accounts prepared by juniors.
• Prepare and review personal tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
• Review VAT returns and support new VAT registrations.
• Be the client primary contact, building strong relationships.
• On-board new clients and provide technical guidance to colleagues.
• Supervise and develop junior team members and coordinate workloads.
• Contribute to business development and growth of your portfolio.

Trial Balance are delighted to be working with a progressive accountancy practice in Camborne, looking to recruit an experienced Client Manager to join its team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an established practice accountant to take ownership of a varied client portfolio, provide leadership to junior colleagues and play an active role in the continued growth of the business.

As Client Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a varied portfolio of clients, taking responsibility for service delivery, workflow and ensuring deadlines are consistently achieved
• Reviewing and signing off statutory accounts prepared by junior members of the team
• Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Reviewing VAT returns, supporting new VAT registrations and identifying potential opportunities or areas of risk
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and providing practical accounting and taxation support
• Supporting the on-boarding of new clients and providing technical guidance to colleagues
• Supervising and developing junior team members, helping to co-ordinate workloads and maintain high standards
• Contributing to business development activity, including new client opportunities and the continued growth of your portfolio

The successful Client Manager will:

Have significant experience gained within an accountancy practice and a proven ability to manage a client portfolio independently.

ACA or ACCA qualification would be preferred, although candidates with equivalent practice experience will also be considered. You'll have strong technical knowledge across accounts, corporation tax, personal tax and VAT, alongside excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

The successful Client Manager will be approachable, self-motivated and comfortable supporting and developing others. A genuine interest in embracing technology and finding better ways of working would be welcomed.
