Are you a qualified accountant looking to take the next step in your practice career? We're delighted to be supporting a highly regarded and modern accountancy firm in their search for a talented Client Manager to join their growing team.
This forward-thinking and people-focused practice is passionate about supporting owner-managed businesses with expert advice across accounts, tax, and outsourced services. They pride themselves on providing an outstanding client experience, and now need a confident, client-facing professional to help lead delivery across a varied and rewarding portfolio.
As a Client Manager, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of clients across a wide range of industries. You'll build strong client relationships and ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and proactive accountancy and advisory services. The role is varied and includes:
Managing the full client relationship lifecycle, from onboarding and quoting through to billing and WIP management
Reviewing and overseeing the preparation of year-end accounts, tax computations, VAT returns, and management accounts
Providing outsourced finance services, including cloud accounting support and advisory
Mentoring, supporting, and developing junior team members, reviewing their work and assisting with technical queries
Attending client meetings and acting as a key point of contact, delivering exceptional service and value
Supporting practice growth with commercial awareness and input into operational improvements
You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with experience gained within a UK accountancy practice. You'll thrive in a collaborative, client-focused environment and have a strong understanding of accounting and tax principles, along with excellent communication and leadership skills.
ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
Strong experience managing your own portfolio of clients
Technically proficient across accounts, tax and cloud-based accounting platforms (Xero, QuickBooks etc.)
Comfortable mentoring and supporting junior staff
Commercially minded, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
Confident liaising directly with clients and delivering high-quality service
