Job summary

Kaluza is seeking a Software Engineering Manager based in London, Bristol or Edinburgh, with hybrid work requiring 3+ days in the office. You will lead engineering teams, shape technical and product strategy, and partner with clients and product managers to deliver value across deployments.

The role focuses on coaching, performance management and removing blockers to keep delivery momentum; travel for commercial and deployment activities is possible.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering management or similar role leading cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and grow talent.
• Strong client relationships with transparent communication.
• Good understanding of Agile and lean development.
• Experience with event-driven systems such as Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering teams, up to 10 direct reports, and contribute to technical and product vision.
• Drive the technical roadmap and ensure delivery of value to clients.
• Coach and develop team members, monitor performance, and remove impediments.
• Collaborate with clients, product managers, and client success teams to align on outcomes.
• Work with peers to guide architectural discussions and strategy.
• Foster operational excellence within the area and improve delivery processes.
