Job summary

A leading global insurance broker in the United Kingdom is seeking a talented individual to join their Public Sector team. This hybrid role involves managing housing clients' insurance needs, developing risk management strategies, and leading insurance program activities. The ideal candidate will have proven insurance experience, excellent communication abilities, and knowledge of the public and housing sectors. This role offers flexibility to work remotely while collaborating with the team in the Reading office.

Qualifications

• Experience in Property-Casualty insurance is preferred.
• Ability to work flexibly under pressure and maintain calm.
• Knowledge of the public sector and housing sector is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of housing clients providing tailored insurance solutions.
• Identify and develop strategies for clients’ risk management needs.
• Lead and approve insurance program design activities.

Overview

We are looking for a talented and dedicated individual to become a key member of our Public Sector team. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work remotely across the country, with occasional visits to our Reading office to collaborate with the wider team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of housing clients, providing tailored insurance and risk management solutions
• Identify and develop strategies for clients’ risk management, risk financing, and insurance needs
• Lead and approve insurance program design activities, ensuring alignment with client objectives
• Prepare budget proposals and negotiate fees with clients and insurers
• Host client and insurer meetings alongside specialist broker and client service teams to deliver exceptional service and solutions

What you need to have

• Proven insurance experience, preferably in Property-Casualty (Combined)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong relationship-building and management abilities
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills

• Previous client-facing experience and a dynamic approach
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and work flexibly as needed
• Knowledge and understanding of the public sector and social housing sector
