Job summary

Capio Recruitment Limited seeks a Senior Client Executive – Commercial Insurance to lead client relationships and develop a portfolio of commercial clients within the corporate insurance division.

Senior Client Executive – Commercial Insurance

An established, independent insurance broker with a strong presence across the UK and access to the Lloyd’s market. The business works across a broad range of commercial and specialist insurance classes, combining corporate broking capability with dedicated claims and risk-management expertise. Its corporate team supports clients with areas including property, business interruption, liabilities, cyber, M&A and international exposures.

Role Summary

This is a senior client-facing position within a corporate insurance division, taking responsibility for managing and developing a portfolio of commercial clients while contributing to the wider performance of the team.

You’ll work closely with clients, insurers and internal broking colleagues, combining relationship management with new business development, market engagement and technical oversight. The role would suit someone comfortable taking ownership of complex commercial accounts while helping strengthen insurer relationships and supporting colleagues across the division. The underlying job specification also places a strong emphasis on FCA compliance, CPD and maintaining high standards of client documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of corporate clients: Build long-term client relationships while ensuring their insurance requirements are understood and appropriately serviced.
• Generate new business: Develop opportunities through existing clients, introductions and your own network, giving you scope to grow your portfolio and commercial influence.
• Oversee broking and placement activity: Work with the wider team to ensure enquiries are handled appropriately and risks are placed with suitable insurance markets.
• Maintain strong insurer relationships: Develop productive relationships with insurer partners and help identify additional markets where appropriate.
• Support claims and complex client matters: Work alongside the claims team and provide input on significant or technically demanding cases.
• Contribute to divisional performance: Support delivery against team budgets, business plans and service standards while sharing your experience with colleagues.

Requirements

• Strong experience managing commercial or corporate insurance clients
• Minimum Cert CII qualification, with commitment to continued professional development
• Good understanding of FCA requirements and working within a regulated insurance environment
• Strong relationship-building skills across clients, insurers and internal teams
• Ability to manage competing workloads, delegate effectively and meet reporting deadlines
• Confident communication skills with the ability to contribute across a senior client-facing team
