Client Engineer – Mechanical/Electrical

Location: Yorkshire

Offering: Circa £55,000 - £65,000 Basic Salary plus Great Benefits!

Our client is an established and well-respected manufacturing company based in Yorkshire, providing engineering solutions to clients throughout the UK and Worldwide. Due to continued growth, they are currently recruiting a Client Engineer to work closely with their customers, helping identify system problems and tailor solutions to meet their needs.

The Client Engineer will collaborate with customers to understand how their current products and solutions are being used, ensuring they maximize product features. They will work with cross-functional teams to develop bespoke solutions, discovering valuable, usable, and feasible options. Additionally, they will identify new applications for the client’s products to resolve other customer issues.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project and Solution Delivery Management

• Coordinate with sales, marketing, production, and supply chain teams to ensure solutions are delivered on time and meet expectations.
• Develop and implement efficient project processes and best practices.
• Support the design of bespoke products.
• Ensure solutions align with customer requirements and the company's vision.

Understanding Customer Needs

• Keep customers updated throughout product and solution lifecycles.
• Identify new solutions and applications of the client’s products in collaboration with customers.

Communication and Reporting

• Report project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management, customers, and partners.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• STEM-related Degree.
• Excellent communication skills, confident engaging with clients at all levels, and building rapport.
• Ability to probe and understand customer pain points to identify suitable solutions.
• Exposure to Automotive, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Medical, Mechanical, or Electrical industries is highly beneficial.
• CAD experience, ideally with SolidWorks, designing mechanical or electrical solutions.
• Understanding of commercial and engineering drivers and constraints.
• Strong Microsoft skills for creating detailed, customer-facing technical documentation.

The Client Engineer role offers a salary of circa £55,000 - £65,000 plus excellent benefits. It is a full-time, permanent position requiring approximately 25% travel mainly within the UK. Flexibility to work hybrid (2-3 days per week at the Yorkshire office) is available. All successful candidates will be contacted within 5 days of application.
