Job summary

Bradford and Airedale Citizens Advice and Law Centre is seeking a Client and Community Assessment Officer to be the first point of contact for our service in Bradford. You will help residents identify their advice needs and next steps, supporting diverse communities with empathy and clear communication.

Your responsibilities include answering inbound calls on the adviceline, assisting clients via digital channels, attending drop-ins, and coordinating referrals for money advice, welfare benefits,

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with culturally diverse communities.
• Good research, telephone, and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Answering inbound calls through our adviceline.
• Dealing with clients via our digital channels.
• Attending to clients at face-to-face drop-in sessions.
• Assess urgent matters and arrange internal referrals to colleagues for specialist input.
• Booking advice appointments and completing internal referrals.
• Provide signposting and self-help to empower clients to progress their enquiry.
• Support the development and delivery of our access channels.
