Job summary

Pro Talent is seeking a Client Accountant in Altrincham, Cheshire, offering £32,000 to £42,000 with a four-day week. The role sits with a small modern practice focused on client engagement, technology and AI, serving owner-managed businesses with £500k–£2m turnover.

You will be client-facing, responsible for management and statutory accounts, Xero onboarding, and building integrations, with opportunities to develop forecasting and advisory work.

Qualifications

• Trained in an accountancy practice.
• Comfortable with both management accounts and statutory accounts.
• Real Xero experience, not just the certificate.
• Curious, ambitious and genuinely interested in client businesses.
• Happy talking to clients directly and explaining numbers in plain English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management and statutory accounts for a varied portfolio.
• Set clients up on Xero and build the integrations that go with it.
• Bookkeeping, VAT and reconciliations where clients need support.
• Support on corporation tax and self assessment.
• Own your client queries and don’t pass them up the line.
• Grow into forecasting, cashflow and advisory work over time.
