IQ-EQ is seeking a diligent professional to act as the front office contact for private equity and real estate fund clients in a hybrid Belfast-based role. You will review financial statements, oversee investor drawdowns and distributions, and communicate cash movements while maintaining strong client relationships.

With ACCA/ACMA/CIMA qualifications and 3+ years in financial services, you will mentor colleagues and use Excel to support reporting and compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.

Qualifications

• You have a higher level education, an IATI qualification, or an equivalent qualification.
• You are ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience.
• You have 3+ years in a professional office environment, financial services or accounting practice.
• You have experience reviewing working papers and financial statements and disclosures.
• You manage client relationships effectively and resolve issues with clients.
• You mentor less experienced team members and support their development.
• You possess intermediate Excel skills.

Every day brings a new challenge so you'll need to be a team player at heart, with an eye for detail and great organisational skills so you can prioritise your day to ensure deadlines are met and timelines are adhered to. Your primary responsibility will be to act as a day-to-day front office contact for your designated private equity, real estate, credit, or debt fund clients. You will be a part of a supportive team, own your tasks and proactively manage your deliverables and resolve any issues that may arise.

What You’ll Do:

• You'll take day-to-day responsibility for managing a portfolio of Private Equity or Real Estate clients.
• You'll review quarterly and annual financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• You'll work closely with your Line Manager and the Technical & Training Team to ensure financial statements meet relevant reporting standards, including UK GAAP and IFRS.
• You'll review investor drawdown calculations to ensure figures are accurate and investor commitments are accessed correctly.
• You'll review investor distribution calculations to ensure proceeds are accurately recorded and allocated to investors.
• You'll oversee the accurate communication of fund cash movements to investors through the timely issuance of relevant notices.
• You'll manage client deliverables, agree timelines with clients, monitor progress, and maintain regular communication with CFOs and Financial Controllers.

About You:

• You have a higher level education, an IATI qualification, or an equivalent qualification.
• You are ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified, qualified by experience, or hold an equivalent professional qualification.
• You have 3+ years of experience working in a professional office environment, ideally within financial services or an accounting practice managing multiple client relationships.
• You have experience reviewing working paper files and financial statements, including disclosures, or can demonstrate a strong accounting background through previous experience and continuous professional development.
• You manage client relationships effectively and resolve issues directly with clients.
• You support and mentor less experienced team members to aid their development.
• You possess intermediate Excel skills.
