Job summary

Carter Jonas LLP is seeking an experienced Client Accountant in our Birmingham office to manage a portfolio of client accounts, handle financial transactions, and generate timely reports. The role requires strong reconciliation skills, the ability to process payments to subcontractors under CIS rules, and excellent client communication.

You will work with a team of professionals across departments and participate in ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in busy finance environment preferred.
• Experience managing client portfolios and reporting.
• Solid understanding of client money handling and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day operations of clients’ financial transactions
• Performing regular and robust reconciliations of client funds
• Creating payment runs in accordance with strict contract rules and deadlines
• Allocating cash received from tenants
• Responding to queries and managing shared inboxes
• Preparation of monthly contract accounts and reports
• Carrying out all administrative and ad hoc duties
